Job Responsibilities
As a nurse at the psychiatric emergency department, you'll join a workplace where you can develop alongside an experienced team and grow with your tasks. Your work will involve conducting initial patient assessments in close collaboration with physicians. Telephone counseling is also part of your role, clarifying care needs and recommending appropriate care levels.

The Psychiatric Emergency Department in Västerås is part of the highly specialized care at Västmanland Hospital, with a county-wide mandate. The service area covers approximately 300,000 inhabitants and receives around 5,000 patients annually. We operate with a close, team-based approach involving nurses, care assistants, physicians, and unit managers.

Qualifications
Requirements:
• Registered nurse
• Psychiatric nursing specialty preferred
• Previous psychiatric care experience beneficial
• Motivational Interviewing training is a plus
• Excellent Swedish communication skills
• Knowledge of Cosmic journal system is advantageous
