About this role
Make a Difference. Every Day.
Are you a nurse looking for new challenges? We welcome those genuinely interested in acute internal medicine, especially working with patients needing endocrine or pulmonary care. We offer a stimulating and varied work environment with significant development opportunities where your skills will be utilized and expanded. We provide an excellent entry point for new colleagues, with education nurses specifically tasked with providing the competence support you might need as a new employee.
Our department currently has 14 internal medicine care beds, primarily focused on endocrinology and pulmonary medicine. We also treat hematology patients with anemia and patients with other conditions such as sepsis and multi-morbid elderly patients. We work in teams comprising nurses, nurse assistants, and paramedical staff to ensure each patient receives the best possible care and nursing. Excellent collaboration is fundamental to us - not just within our team or department, but across hospital departments, clinics, and other hospital units. Patient safety is constantly in focus, with potential risks discussed daily to prevent harm before it occurs.
We care for patients and each other, maintaining a good and open work climate where everyone can speak freely. We emphasize collective expertise, recognizing we can always learn from one another. With proximity to laughter and joy, we support each other through thick and thin. Here at our small hospital, everything is close at hand!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We now have the opportunity to welcome nurses to the Lung and Diabetes Medical Department.
You will work on typical nursing tasks, along with specialized duties related to our department's specialties (such as pleural drainage). The team includes nurses, nurse assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. On weekdays, a nurse assistant supports discharge planning. Hospital-wide bed coordinators are based in our department.
The standard introduction period is four weeks, with ongoing support from your mentor, colleagues, and education nurses.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek a licensed nurse authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at C1 level or higher are required. Previous experience in pulmonary care or endocrinology is considered advantageous.
We believe the ideal candidate is positive, proactive, and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues. You enjoy teamwork and are open to new challenges. Patient well-being is always your priority. You are comfortable with and support our core values: welcoming, driven, caring, and respectful. We are committed to finding the right person and will place significant emphasis on personal suitability.
We apply rolling selection in this recruitment. We look forward to your application!
