About this role
Make a Difference. Every Day.
Are you interested in a challenge and curious about building something new? Do you, just like us, see that good collaboration is the key to great work? Then you are exactly who we are looking for at the Surgical Acute Care and Ear, Nose, and Throat Department (Kava/ENT)!
Kava/ENT is currently under development, and our long-term goal is to open approximately 18 to 22 beds. We provide advanced and complex care around the clock. It is a challenging and educational environment where the team around the patient works together towards a common goal. We place great importance on the individual and encourage professional development to promote strong team competence. As the unit develops, team members will have different levels of knowledge and experience, which contributes to knowledge exchange and development opportunities for everyone. We have nursing leaders with intensive care expertise, nurses, and nursing assistants who all have extensive knowledge and diverse experiences that we share to become a little better every day for our patients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of nurse with us, we offer you a developmental job where you can contribute your expertise and where we collectively drive the operations forward. For us, it is important to provide good treatment towards patients as well as colleagues and to have fun together!
At Kava/ENT, we primarily care for patients with acute surgical diseases/conditions. The most common reasons for patient admission are various abdominal diagnoses, acute bleeding, and trauma. We also care for a smaller patient group within ear, nose, and throat specialties, which may include jaw surgery, patients with tracheostomy, and facial trauma.
Acute care also involves pre- and post-operative care. We receive patients 24 hours a day, with most patients admitted through the emergency department. The department is also responsible for the ear, nose, and throat emergency reception, staffed by doctors and nursing assistants.
Evening, night, and weekend shifts are part of the job. We use a preferred scheduling system and work two out of five weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome registered nurses authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required for the position. We prefer candidates with several years of clinical experience in emergency healthcare. It is meritorious if you have experience and/or are specialized in ear, nose, and throat areas and/or emergency surgical healthcare. Instructor training and/or supervision experience is an advantage for the position.
You as a person see the value of good collaboration and contribute by sharing your knowledge and experiences. Your commitment and positive attitude contribute to a good work environment where we help each other and collaborate to achieve the best care quality for our patients. In our daily work, rapid changes often occur. The ability to adapt to these changes and reset to new situations requires skills such as having a holistic perspective and good planning and prioritization abilities. To succeed as a nurse with us, we see that you are flexible in your work, as each patient is unique. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We apply rolling selection in this recruitment. Warmly welcome to submit your application today; we look forward to getting to know you!
