The Social Care Administration employs approximately 1,200 dedicated staff members who contribute to providing support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place in elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
The Healthcare Unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and above who need healthcare at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and ordinary housing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse in ordinary housing in the Municipality of Ystad, you will have an independent, varied, and meaningful job where you make a real difference for our patients. You are an important part of the team around each individual and have area responsibility within your geographical region.
Your role includes:
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare interventions.
• Performing medical assessments and making decisions based on the patient's current needs.
• Prescribing and following up on nursing measures in close collaboration with care staff.
• Delegating and guiding staff in nursing work and supporting nursing students during their internship.
• Coordinating and collaborating with other professionals, relatives, and caregivers to create safe and comprehensive care.
• Documenting and following up on interventions according to applicable routines and guidelines.
Patient and relative contact is a central part of the work. You see the whole person and meet each individual with commitment, respect, and care.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working independently but in close collaboration with others and wants to contribute to developing and improving home healthcare in the Municipality of Ystad.
QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive in the role, you need to be an independent, confident, and responsible person who enjoys making decisions and seeing the whole picture of care interventions. You are meticulous, flexible, and able to quickly adapt to different situations.
You are a licensed nurse with a B driver's license. Experience in home healthcare, elderly care, municipal healthcare is meritorious, as is a specialist qualification as a district nurse. The most important thing is your commitment and willingness to provide good and safe care.
You need to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and be familiar with documenting in journal systems and working digitally.
Working hours are weekdays with on-call every fifth weekend. During weekend work, you work across the entire municipality and meet patients in ordinary and special housing, as well as LSS and social psychiatry, which makes the work both varied and developing.
