About this role
Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and assistance to individuals facing issues with alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our services include acute and round-the-clock care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized treatment. We also operate as a university hospital, conducting research and education.
**Workplace**
Ward 52 is part of Beroendecentrum Stockholm's Acute and Round-the-Clock Care and is located at S:t Görans Hospital.
It is a locked, specialized inpatient ward with 20 beds. Patients, primarily men over the age of 18, are admitted here either acutely or via referral for withdrawal treatment, and for the treatment/stabilization of psychiatric and somatic conditions related to drugs and medications. Patients are cared for under various care forms, such as HSL, LPT, or LVM.
**The Role**
As a nurse with us, you will have a highly varied and stimulating job where individual responsibility is balanced with collegial collaboration. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, leading, and documenting care. Once you gain more experience and confidence in your clinical duties, you will contribute to the clinic's educational mission by mentoring nursing students during their practical training with us. Common tasks include medication administration, consultations, venous blood sampling, wound care, and intramuscular injections. We also work on overdose prevention and the distribution of naloxone.

**Employment Conditions**
Permanent employment, full-time or part-time, two shifts (day/evening or night). We work two weekends out of five. Introduction tailored specifically for you based on your previous experiences and individual needs. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. A probationary period may apply.
Beroendecentrum Stockholm applies alcohol and drug testing as well as background checks before new employment.
The position is subject to the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
In patient-facing roles within Stockholm County's Healthcare Area:
- A background check is applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
