**Job Responsibilities**
As a nurse within Ambulance Services, you will encounter patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. The focus is on providing excellent care, medical treatment, and compassion during patient interactions. You will work both independently and as part of a team, where collaboration and knowledge exchange contribute to the best possible care for the sick and injured.
**About the Workplace**
Ambulance Services in Region Västmanland operates as a separate clinic within the Emergency Care sector. With four stations (Fagersta, Köping, Sala, and Västerås), 16 ambulances, and approximately 40,000 missions per year, we work around the clock to provide care where it is needed most – quickly, professionally, and with great commitment.
We operate our own dispatch center, the Healthcare Dispatch Center, which is responsible for prioritizing and directing ambulances in Västmanland, Uppsala, Sörmland, and Värmland. In Västmanland, our dispatch operators (nurses) handle around 65,000 calls from those seeking help each year.
We also have a prehospital competence center where we invest in professional development through practical training and education – for both current and future employees. We conduct clinical research in care, technology, and leadership. Additionally, we are responsible for the region's SMS lifesaving operations.

**Qualifications**
You who are applying are a licensed nurse with two years of experience in the profession; we will conduct an individual assessment of your experience.
A good driving record is required for the position; having a C driver's license is an advantage. Good physical fitness is expected as heavy lifting may occur in the job. Physical tests based on the Aasa test and a practical driving test will be included in the employment interview. Proof of swimming ability for 200 meters must be attached to your application.
To thrive with us, you need to be confident and stable in your nursing role. As a person, you should be structured, proactive, and independent in your work. A strong ability to collaborate and a high sense of service are essential.
You are accommodating and professional in your interactions and have a good ability to communicate clearly.

**Employment Conditions**
Permanent position, full-time. A probationary period may be applied. Possible locations are Västerås, Fagersta, Sala, and Köping. Start date according to agreement.
