About the Job
As an ambulance nurse, you are responsible for assessing, prioritizing, caring for, and treating patients in acute and pre-hospital situations. The work is performed according to regional and national guidelines and in close collaboration with other healthcare chain actors.
Shifts include day, evening, night, and weekend work, with individual schedule planning. Placement will be at one of our main stations in Kungsbacka, Varberg, Falkenberg, or Halmstad, but assignments throughout the region may occur.
For those interested in management and coordination, there is also an opportunity to develop towards the Internal Medical Leadership (ISL) role.
About the Workplace
Ambulance Healthcare Halland is part of the Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health (ADH) administration. The operation includes main stations in Kungsbacka, Varberg, Falkenberg, and Halmstad.
All ambulances are staffed with at least one licensed nurse. We also have light care ambulances (LVA) for sub-acute transports and assessments.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed Nurse
- At least two years of experience in emergency healthcare or similar, as assessed by the employer
- Good physical and mental ability to work in a pre-hospital environment
- Driver's License B is required, C/C1 is meritorious
- Swimming certificate for 200 meters (any swimming style), to be presented during the interview
Meritorious:
- Specialist nurse with ambulance healthcare specialization or equivalent
- Previous experience in ambulance healthcare
- Completed training such as AMLS, PHTLS, PS or PS+
- Experience in leadership roles within emergency services
- Good communication skills and professional approach

Recruitment Process
Interviews and tests will be conducted in Falkenberg during weeks 3 and 4 of 2026.
Tests include physical ability (change of clothes required) and driving test. Swimming certificate must be presented during the interview.
