About this role
What makes you thrive in the role of a nurse? Perhaps it is the interaction with people, the opportunity to make a real difference, and the freedom to work independently—while having a supportive and engaged team around you. If this resonates with you, one of our two positions in the Eastern area may be just right for you.
We are currently seeking two nurses—one to be stationed at Ömhetens care and nursing home, and another to serve as a resource across the Eastern area, initially placed at Trivselns care and nursing home in Ursviken and home care in Skelleftehamn.
With us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference every day while developing and growing in your professional role.
YOUR ROLE
As a nurse in the Eastern area, you will be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team working together to provide safe, person-centered, and high-quality care in the patient's home. You will independently assess, plan, implement, and follow up on healthcare interventions for patients aged 18 and older. The work is varied and mobile, and you are expected to prioritize between different interventions and take your own initiatives.
Position at Ömheten
As a nurse at Ömhetens care and nursing home in Morö Backe, you will work closely with the residents, their relatives, and your colleagues in the team. You will monitor the patients' needs over time and be an important part of the daily operations of the unit. Currently, the position involves approximately four evening shifts and one weekend every six-week period.
Position as a Resource in the Eastern Area
In this role, you will work throughout the Eastern area based on the needs of the organization. You will have an initial placement at Trivselns care and nursing home in Ursviken and home care in Skelleftehamn, with your base at Skärgårdshemmet in Skelleftehamn. This role is suitable for you if you enjoy variety and want to develop your skills in several different environments—here, you will have a daily routine that is both educational, dynamic, and full of variation. Currently, this position does not involve evening shifts, but approximately one weekend every six-week period.
In both positions, you will collaborate widely—with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other key stakeholders within both the municipality and the region. You will also work closely with other nurses throughout the Eastern area, where you support each other and assist as needed. We believe in trust, dialogue, and good relationships as the foundation for effective and sustainable care.
YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE
You are a licensed nurse, or soon to be licensed, and preferably have experience working as a nurse. A solid subject competence and a desire to continuously develop within your professional field are important for your success in this role. If you have completed specialist training in relevant areas, that is an advantage.
We believe you will function best in this role if you are independent, proactive, and responsible. You work meticulously and systematically, have an eye for detail, and are stable and secure in your working methods—that is, you can remain calm and prioritize correctly even in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment. As a person, you are pedagogical and considerate in your interactions and enjoy working closely in a team. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
For this position, you need to have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since Skellefteå municipality is a Finnish and Sámi administrative municipality, we consider it an advantage if you can speak Finnish or Sámi. Additionally, if you know sign language, we see that as an asset in our operations.
YOUR NEW WORKPLACE
As a nurse in our healthcare unit, you will be part of an engaged team working to ensure that every patient experiences safety, care, and quality of life. Here, you will meet colleagues who are eager to share knowledge and support each other. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and person-centered care that truly makes a difference in people's lives. We offer you support in your development through individual onboarding, continuing education, and good opportunities for advancement.
With us, you will have a job that truly matters—for both you and the people you meet. Read more about the role of a nurse in Skellefteå municipality (https://skelleftea.se/sjukskoterska).
