About the Department Department 361 is an acute general psychiatric ward within the Affective Psychiatry division, located at Östra Hospital. The department has 15 care beds for investigation and treatment. Patient groups have general psychiatric diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and more severe crisis reactions. What do we offer? We are a pleasant workplace with good teamwork where everyone plays an important role. We consist of nurses, care assistants, counselors, and doctors. We typically have a high patient flow, and you are expected to be stress-tolerant and enjoy managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The work is varied and stimulating. Work tasks include weekly self-defense training, including practical exercises and discussions about patient interactions. Job Responsibilities Your tasks are based on psychiatric nursing. In addition to general psychiatric care, responsibilities include crisis processing and supportive counseling. You will work with the patient in focus from a holistic perspective. Your role also includes supervisory tasks. The length of introduction and supervised training will be assessed based on your individual competence to ensure the best possible start. About You We are seeking a licensed nurse who enjoys teamwork and has an interest in mental health. It is important that you can collaborate easily and adapt your approach to different situations. As a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Base Year, our introduction program. The Clinical Base Year is mandatory and lasts throughout your first year of employment. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training at the Simulation Center. Additionally, you will have placements on at least two different departments to broaden your competence.
