**About the Department**
The dermatology and venereology department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital is one of the largest skin clinics in the country, employing over 100 staff members.
The department provides highly specialized care and regional specialized healthcare in both medical and surgical dermatology as well as venereology.
We conduct active research and education in close collaboration with Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. We are constantly engaged in development work, and all our employees are encouraged to contribute ideas and participate in projects aimed at creating good care and a positive work environment.
**What a Workday Might Look Like with Us**
The patient is at the center of our focus, and we work in teams to best utilize everyone's expertise. We maintain an open and supportive work climate, helping and relying on one another. As a new employee, you will receive a clear introduction and shadowing experience, as well as a mentor/supervisor.
We offer you a varied, stimulating, and developmental role as a nurse. We have scheduled clinics both in teams and individual settings. Here, you will have the opportunity to take on your own area of responsibility, which includes training/information for your colleagues. We work daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
**Job Responsibilities**
In our unit, we treat leg ulcers and skin conditions through ointment application and dressing changes. We perform light therapies using various types of ultraviolet special light for several different skin diseases, skin tumor treatments with another type of light, as well as laser treatments. We also have different types of clinics, including doctor’s clinics, nurse clinics, and assistant clinics. We treat both adults and young children.
In this position, you will participate in Occupational Dermatology investigations, helping patients who have developed some form of contact allergy at their workplace.
**About You**
We are looking for a licensed nurse. Previous experience working as a nurse in a hospital or clinic is an advantage.
It is important that you enjoy working in a team as well as independently. We also want you to be interested in improvement work and willing to participate in the clinic's development efforts. As a nurse with us, you need to be confident, meticulous, and structured, with a good empathetic ability to care for our patients effectively. Personal qualities are highly valued.

As a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. Additionally, it includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your skills.
In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the relevant position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.
