Welcome to our outpatient psychiatric clinic in Kristianstad! We are about 80 employees working in interdisciplinary teams consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and two unit managers. We have an important mission to offer our residents with mental health issues assessment, investigation, diagnosis, care, and treatment based on our diverse competencies and experiences.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dedicated and development-oriented nurse with a particular interest in working with patients with bipolar disorder and ECT treatment (electroconvulsive therapy)!
In this role, you will be part of our bipolar team, which consists of doctors, nurses, a social worker, an occupational therapist, and a psychologist. As a nurse, you will work with patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder following a standardized care process and be responsible for monitoring the patient's well-being during medication treatment. Psychoeducation and collaboration with other healthcare providers are included. Part of the time, you will also be involved in our ECT team, where you will work closely with our coordinating nurse. During ECT treatments, you will collaborate with anesthetic staff and psychiatrists, and you will be available as support for the nursing staff in the recovery room when patients wake up. We support each other at the clinic, and there may also be tasks such as telephone advice, 1177 (healthcare advice line), and medication distribution in our dispensary. This is to gain knowledge about how psychiatric care is conducted with us. If interested, we encourage you to pursue a specialization in psychiatric nursing, and there is an opportunity to receive a study salary during your education.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s language scale is also a requirement for the position. Further education in psychiatry is advantageous. Previous experience in psychiatry is also seen as beneficial.
