Make a Difference. Every Day.
Do you have a great interest in psychiatry? Do you want to be part of a unique department where you work together with colleagues and patients to create a safe and meaningful inpatient care? Apply to us at Ward 54!
Adult Psychiatry Ward 54 is located at Helsingborg Hospital and is a general psychiatric care ward for adults of all ages, with specialized expertise in geriatric psychiatry. Here, patients 18 years or older who need specialized psychiatric inpatient care are treated. Common diagnoses include depression, bipolar disorder, delusional disorder, personality syndrome, confusion, and dementia with psychiatric symptoms. We consider patients' psychiatric, somatic, psychosocial, and existential well-being with an overarching goal of continuously developing and improving care. Our ward has recently moved into completely renovated facilities with only single rooms, currently offering twelve standard treatment places. We also have a close collaboration with the geriatric psychiatric outpatient clinic located right next door.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Our ward has an interdisciplinary team where you collaborate with other nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. Everyone is an important part of patient care and contributes their unique expertise. As a nurse, you plan patient care, treat patients, and participate in ward rounds. Daily work also includes some medical technical tasks.
We continuously work to improve care within our operations. Through interaction training, lectures on specific medical conditions, and basic training for new employees, you'll develop a knowledge base to provide good and safe patient care. At Ward 54, we also work with Safewards, an approach to creating security for inpatient care patients. As a nurse, you and your colleagues are crucial in driving this work forward.
To help you integrate into the role as effectively as possible, we offer an introduction tailored to your competence and experience. We also value skills development and therefore offer continuous training, both internally and externally.
The position involves day and evening shifts. We also offer a preferred schedule, which means you have great opportunity to influence your own working hours.
