Nurse for Care and Nursing Home [Uppsala]

Portabel Health is seeking a Nurse Consultant for an assignment in municipal care and social services. Location is at a care and nursing home in central Uppsala. The facility offers 24-hour care for individuals over 65 years old with nursing needs and dementia. The assignment involves daytime work Monday through Friday, approximately fifty to sixty percent of full-time. Work hours may also include working on public holidays that fall on weekdays. Assignment period is from December 18, 2025, to February 9, 2026, with the possibility of extension up to a total of twelve months. Work Responsibilities Examples of tasks in the role: • Responsible for general and specific nursing care • Perform medical assessments and treatments • Manage medical prescriptions and medication processes • Supervise, support, and delegate nursing personnel • Provide support for students and new employees • Document in current medical record systems and follow governing guidelines • Collaborate with residents, relatives, facility manager, and other healthcare providers Requirements • Swedish nursing license • Minimum two years of documented professional experience as a nurse within the last five years • Knowledge of SBAR communication model • Completed CPR training within the last twelve months • Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written • Basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience in municipal elderly care or nursing homes • Experience working with individuals with dementia • Experience documenting in municipal medical record systems such as LifeCare or equivalent Personal Characteristics We are seeking someone who is responsible, able to receive information, and can adapt to new work environments and routines.
