Job Description
Portabel Health is seeking an experienced and independent nurse for assignments in care and support for elderly individuals with care needs, as well as persons with dementia and previous dependency issues. The role involves both medical responsibility and coordination in close collaboration with residential staff and caregivers.
About the Assignment
Uppsala Municipality is seeking a consultant nurse for care and support assignments.
Placement will be at a care and nursing home in Uppsala.
The assignment involves daytime work approximately 70-80% of full-time, corresponding to approximately 38 hours per week.
Working hours may include public holidays falling on weekdays as per operational needs.
Assignment period is from December 19, 2025 to January 1, 2026, with possibility of extension up to a total of twelve months.
Work Responsibilities
• Care responsibility for residents
• Conduct medical assessments and treatments
• Manage medication and medical prescriptions
• Documentation according to current guidelines
• Supervision and delegation to care personnel
• Collaboration with relatives and external care providers
• Participation in planning meetings and follow-ups
Requirements
• Swedish nursing license
• Minimum two years of documented professional nursing experience within the last five years
• Excellent Swedish communication skills, verbal and written
• Completed CPR training within the last twelve months
• Good knowledge of SBAR communication model
• Basic computer skills and documentation experience
• Ability to work independently when the nurse is alone at the facility
Meritorious
• Experience in elderly care or social psychiatry
• Experience in municipal healthcare
• Additional language skills
