We are now seeking an experienced and self-driven nurse for our care and nursing home, Storskarven!
Storskarven is a care and nursing home for patients with physical care needs and dementia. The facility is centrally located in Bunkeflostrand near Bunkeflo strandängar, with 44 apartments and an outdoor area or enclosed balconies on each floor. Storskarven is a "star-certified facility", which certifies that employees have received fundamental knowledge about dementia and tools for person-centered work.
We offer you a varied job with the freedom to plan and structure your work independently. Opportunities for skills development through professional networks and further education to become a specialist nurse during work hours. Individually tailored introduction and mentorship during the first year, based on your competence and needs. Newly hired nurses are offered two days of dementia training. Work hours are daytime 07:00 – 15:30 with on-call duty every sixth weekend.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse, you are responsible for patient care. This means independently assessing, planning, and organizing medical and nursing interventions. You will supervise, educate, and delegate nursing staff. You will work person-centered by involving patients in decisions and collaborating closely with relatives and the patient's team.
You will regularly collaborate with primary care through patient-focused rounds. You will also collaborate with multiple actors according to the healthcare agreement involving county council, municipality, and primary care to meet individual care needs. Our care and nursing homes work with quality assurance systems BPSD, Senior Alert, and Palliative Registry.
Qualifications
We are seeking a licensed nurse with at least two years of work experience. Additionally, you have:
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Understanding of current legislation, establishing goals and guidelines
• Good digital competence
• B driver's license
• Good cycling skills
Meriting factors include:
• Work experience with people with mental health issues, psychiatric diagnoses, and/or dementia
• Work experience in municipal healthcare
• Specialist education in relevant area; elderly care, medical nursing, psychiatric further education, or district nurse
• Good experience collaborating with other authorities and participating in various networks
• Knowledge of documentation program Procapita
