Job Description About the Assignment Uppsala Municipality is seeking a consultant for the role of nurse for assignments within care and nursing homes. Placement will be at Höganäs and Bernadotte in Uppsala. The assignment involves daytime work, approximately 70 to 80 percent, equivalent to 38.15 hours per week. Working hours may include weekend work and work on public holidays that fall on weekdays. The assignment period is from December 10, 2025, to March 10, 2026, with the possibility of extension for a total of up to twelve months. Responsibilities • Examples of tasks within the role • General and specific nursing care • Medical assessments and treatments • Medical prescriptions • Guidance, advice, and delegation to nursing staff • Documentation and collaboration with patients, relatives, staff, and other healthcare providers Experience: Requirements • Swedish nursing license • At least two years of documented professional experience as a nurse within the last five years • Good knowledge of the communication model SBAR • Completed CPR training within the last twelve months • Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written • Basic computer skills • Experience working in nursing homes for at least six months Meritorious • Experience working in care and nursing homes • Experience working with individuals with dementia • Additional language skills or specialized competencies Additional Notes: Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is responsible and self-motivated, able to quickly adapt to new working methods. Bernadotte has 80 apartments spread over four floors, with both nursing and dementia-focused accommodations. The work is carried out in teams with several nurses on-site, and the operations are characterized by a calm yet urban location and a working method where quality and safety are prioritized.
