About this role

Do you want to work in advanced and developing healthcare where you have the opportunity to truly impact patients' safety and well-being? With us, you will have a varied, exciting, and meaningful job in urology – alongside a competent team that is passionate about quality, development, and excellent patient care. **Job Responsibilities** As a clinic nurse with us, you will be a central part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and medical secretaries. The work is diverse and requires both independence and close collaboration with colleagues. In your role, you will meet patients during clinic visits and treatments, receive and assess calls via telephone, and serve as an important support for both patients and their relatives. You will be responsible for planning and conducting various urological investigations and will also participate in minor procedures. Variation and responsibility are a natural part of the workday, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills across a broad operational area. **About the Workplace** The Urology Clinic is a surgical unit with both planned and emergency services and has a clear specialization in urology. The clinic consists of approximately 70 employees and is responsible for urological care throughout the county, with operations in Västerås, Köping, and Fagersta. At the Urology Outpatient Clinic, we provide highly specialized outpatient urology services, receiving both new patients and follow-ups. Here, we work with a comprehensive range of care that includes urological investigations concerning the prostate, kidneys, and bladder, as well as treatment for cancer, urinary issues, urinary retention, and various types of injection and shockwave treatments, along with bladder installations. Cystoscopies and minor surgeries are also performed regularly. Staff members have significant influence over the operations and are encouraged to take responsibility for development and improvements, which means we are constantly working to enhance our working methods. The clinic also has its own care department providing both elective and emergency care, where good collaboration exists and opportunities to rotate between the outpatient clinic and the department are available. For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your job; therefore, we offer you: • A tailored orientation program to help you feel secure and confident in your professional role • Opportunities for professional development through, for example, internal training • Free access to our fully equipped gym • Wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year You can find more about your benefits here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ **Qualifications** We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in outpatient care. You can prioritize and take responsibility for planning your work effectively. You communicate clearly and ensure that messages reach patients, relatives, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are flexible, see opportunities in changes, and possess good empathetic abilities. You collaborate well with others and contribute to a positive work environment while also being able to work independently. We value a solution-oriented approach and welcome your ideas and new perspectives. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. **Employment Conditions** Temporary position for approximately 1 year with a working percentage of 80-100%.
