Description
Ward 9 is a medical ward specializing in stroke/TIA.
The ward has received recognition for excellent stroke care from the Stroke Association in recent years, winning the Stroke Unit of the Year award in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. Collaboration is crucial for us as we work in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, secretaries, and others around the patient. The ward also focuses on continuous development, which contributes to a stimulating and challenging work environment. We highly value quality and aim for all employees to have specialized stroke competence, offering internal training such as the stroke competence certificate.
We have new, fresh facilities and can offer a good working environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse in the medical ward, you have the opportunity to influence and make a difference for patients in daily work. You will closely collaborate with nursing assistants, doctors, and rehabilitation staff to provide excellent patient care. The ward works on continuous development of each individual employee's personal competence.
Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse, preferably with some work experience, and interested in stroke care. You want to work in a dynamic environment where you drive patient-centered development together with the team. You are motivated to take and receive responsibility in the nursing role. Great importance is placed on personal qualities such as flexibility, collaboration ability, and attention to detail, as you will work with varying tasks. You have good interpersonal skills, are innovative, and take initiative.
Clinical Base Year
For newly graduated nurses/radiography nurses, the Clinical Base Year is included during the first year of your permanent employment. This includes lectures, process-oriented nursing supervision, and practical training at the Simulation Center. You will also shadow other departments to gain a broader understanding of the hospital. This is an investment to help you further develop your professional identity.
