About this role

Department of Medicine 4 in Bollnäs is an acute care unit focused on stroke, TIA, and emergency medicine. Here, we work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, and we also collaborate closely with dietitians and social workers. With a person-centered approach, we ensure that patients are involved in their care and that both patients and their relatives feel secure and well cared for. We follow national guidelines and continuously work to improve stroke care. We are now looking for nurses who want to be part of our team - come and make a difference with us! **JOB DESCRIPTION** As a nurse with us, you will be responsible for the care of the department's patients. As time allows and in dialogue with nursing assistants, you will also participate in the care work. You will work closely with nursing assistants and have a close collaboration with other colleagues in the team. Since our stroke patients often require rehabilitation, you will also be involved in that process. As a nurse with us, you will, among other things: • prepare and administer medications • work according to all steps of the nursing process • handle blood transfusions, pleural taps, ascitic taps, tubes, and infusions of various medications, as well as prepare and assist with lumbar punctures • collaborate with the municipality and primary care. Additionally, you work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize your work effectively, and appreciate a fast-paced job in a learning environment. As a nurse with us, you must be: • a licensed nurse. Experience in stroke care and/or stroke competency training is an advantage for this position. A probationary period may apply.
