About this role
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
The Psychiatric Clinic is part of the Skellefteå Local Healthcare Area, which also includes the Emergency Department, Center for Surgical Operations, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö municipalities. Together, we aim to provide good and close care.
The Psychiatric Clinic consists of approximately 250 employees. We provide both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as involuntary psychiatric care. We have 2 general psychiatric wards and a dependency ward. The outpatient care includes several units, including 2 adult clinics, a clinic for young adults, a dependency clinic, an Emergency and Assessment Unit, and other specialized outpatient units such as Clinic 3.
At Psychiatric Clinic 3, we are 16 employees with diverse competencies, including psychologists, caregivers, and nurses. Within the clinic, there are four smaller teams: the MBT team, which treats individuals with personality disorders; the Elderly Team, which focuses on individuals over 68 years old with mental health issues; the Cs/ECT team, responsible for the clinic's ECT treatments and the initiation of central stimulants; and the Medicine Service (MSE), which administers and evaluates medication treatments and monitors lithium and central stimulants.
We are now seeking a nurse for Clinic 3 who will work within the Medicine Service (MSE). The role also includes the possibility of working outside of the immediate unit as needed.
The Medicine Service offers a pleasant working environment where we support each other and care for each other's development, while also leveraging each other's individual strengths and fostering collaborative growth within the team.
