About the Open Position
As a nurse at the Affective Psychiatry Clinic, you will have varied work tasks.
This is an independent role with team support. You will be the primary contact for a portion of the clinic's patients. Your work will primarily involve medical follow-ups, nursing assessments, and stabilizing supportive interventions. You will work with individual contacts and collaborate with other entities such as municipalities, social insurance office, and employment agency.
About Us
The Psychiatry Department at Södra Älvsborg Hospital consists of several outpatient clinics, emergency departments, and inpatient care units.
The Affective Psychiatry Clinic is an outpatient facility located in Borås, primarily serving adult patients with affective disorders, such as bipolar disorder and recurrent depression. We also have a diagnostic assessment mandate. Approximately 25 people work at the clinic. The work is characterized by collaboration in a multi-professional team including occupational therapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, doctors, secretaries, nurses, care assistants, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, unit manager, and access to rehabilitation coordinators. The work group has consistently high competence, with many specialists and years of experience. The group is characterized by collegial support, commitment to tasks, ambition to develop and grow, and a sense of humor.
Your Profile
We are seeking a licensed psychiatric nurse or a licensed nurse with experience in psychiatric inpatient or outpatient care.
We actively work to digitalize more work processes. To be part of this digital transformation, you should have basic digital skills and be able to use digital tools and services. You can search for information, communicate, interact digitally, be risk-aware, and have the motivation to learn and develop.
This role is right for you if you have personal maturity, are confident in your work role, and enjoy team collaboration. We place great importance on personal suitability and genuine interest in people and the profession. You need a B driver's license as you may need to conduct home visits.
