Palliative Care and Advanced Home Healthcare (ASIH) is a service that cares for seriously ill patients in their homes. The overarching goal of Region Skåne's palliative care is to provide good and close specialized palliative care tailored to the patient's needs, with the aim of promoting quality of life, increased well-being, and excellent support for loved ones.
We strive to offer patients and their families qualified care, both medically and psychosocially, around the clock. We care for patients of all ages and with all diagnoses when there is a palliative care need. Great importance is placed on treating each patient and their loved ones with respect.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your assignment involves providing advanced home healthcare. The purpose of the care is to collaborate with the patient and alleviate their symptoms to achieve the highest possible quality of life. This means meeting the patient's physical, psychological, social, and existential needs, as well as providing support to their loved ones. We offer you a developing and exciting job where you become part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will lead and actively participate in planning the patient's daily care together with other professionals and collaborate with other care providers. Here, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the organization's development and improvement work through various theme groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome those who are licensed nurses authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement for the position. Since we provide care in the patient's home or in special housing, a valid Class B driver's license is also required. We prefer candidates with several years of nursing experience, and specialization in oncology, palliative care, and/or pediatrics is meritorious.
To thrive with us, you need, in addition to good professional skills, to be easy to collaborate with and comfortable with both teamwork and independent work. You will always work with the patient at the center. Furthermore, you are positive and want to be involved in development work within the organization. A large part of the work involves providing support and having conversations, so you should be communicative and have a good ability to interact with people on different levels. We place great importance on personal suitability.

The Close Care and Health Administration has existed since January 1, 2025. The administration is responsible for funded care activities within close care. This includes mobile teams and specialized palliative care, close care reception services, close care emergency services, 1177 telephone services, and certain regional shared functions. The administration is also responsible for developing and following up the transition to close care in Region Skåne. The number of employees is expected to be around 1,000.
