About this role
Would you like to work in a close-knit team that supports and cares for one another? We have a strong sense of community and enjoy working together. Join us at the Orthopedic Clinic's acute department and welcome to a fun, educational, and varied workplace with a fantastic team at the forefront of orthopedic care.
**Job Responsibilities**
In the department, we care for both acutely orthopedic patients and those undergoing elective surgeries. We manage acute patients with a variety of diagnoses, primarily fractures of the musculoskeletal system, and often care for multi-ill patients of different ages. Elective patients are primarily operated on for hip and knee prostheses or spinal surgeries. Patients come from home and are usually discharged 1 to 2 days post-surgery, which requires a structured approach to care with short hospital stays.
As a nurse with us, you will handle many technical care tasks, providing you with a solid foundation and broad experience. Much of your work with orthopedic patients focuses on pain relief, wound care, antibiotic treatment, rehabilitation, and pre- and post-operative care.
We have a scheduled rotation between different teams that follows a structured approach, providing both variation and breadth in the work.
As a nurse here, you will lead the care team and be responsible for ensuring that patients receive care based on their specific needs. You are an important contact for relatives and loved ones. The department has several support functions to assist you in your daily work, manage challenges, and ensure good patient safety and high care competence.
We actively work to strengthen orthopedic nursing and create an attractive workplace where you have the opportunity to develop. In the department, we have some form of internal training almost every week, and we offer regular continuing education and encourage new ideas so you can deepen your knowledge in various areas and contribute to your own and the organization's development.
