Job Responsibilities As a nurse in the oncology outpatient clinic in Halmstad, we offer you a flexible and developing work environment. You will be part of a team with doctors, secretaries, and nurses, interacting with patients diagnosed with cancer and their relatives. We provide oncological treatment for patients with breast cancer, urological cancer, and GI cancer. We conduct outpatient work and offer telephone consultations to our patients. As a nurse, you will serve as both the contact nurse and treatment nurse for your patients. As our new colleague, you will receive personal guidance and a thorough introduction to familiarize yourself with the operations, organization, and your new colleagues. At the clinic, we participate in both regional and national networks. Here, you will always have the opportunity to learn something new, as oncology is constantly evolving. The unit employs ten treatment nurses. We participate in medical consultations, multidisciplinary conferences, and administer oncological treatments. There is a close and well-established collaboration between nurses, oncologists, and secretaries at the unit, as well as with our unit in Varberg. Qualifications We are looking for a licensed nurse with at least one year of experience in oncological care. It is advantageous if you have further education in oncology, a cytostatic driving license, and/or contact nurse training. We prefer candidates with good knowledge of healthcare IT systems, such as Cosmic, Cytobase, and 1177, as well as an interest in digital working methods and e-health. We believe that patient interaction is important, and we would like you to have an aptitude for engaging with patients in various emotional states and with different needs. Putting the patient at the center is essential for achieving one of our operational goals – ensuring patient safety. As a person, you are calm and secure in your role.
