About this role
Dependency Center Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and help to individuals struggling with alcohol, drugs, medication, or gambling problems. Our operations include acute and round-the-clock care, local outpatient services, and highly specialized care. We are also a clinic that conducts university healthcare, research, and education.
Workplace
At Nynäshamn Dependency Clinic, two nurses, a medical secretary, and a senior physician work together.
The clinic is co-located with Nynäshamn Municipality and collaborates with social services, psychiatry, and other healthcare neighbors.
Are you passionate about healthcare development and interested in addiction and psychiatric care? Then you might be the one we're looking for! Together with us, you can make a difference for one of Stockholm's most vulnerable groups.
The Work
As a nurse with us, you will work with adult patients with harmful use or dependency on alcohol, drugs, and/or medication. We always strive for high accessibility and patient involvement, especially for patients who often have psychiatric comorbidity and somatic issues related to their addiction. At the clinic, we provide abstinence treatments, assessments, and evidence-based treatments. Treatment contacts are often long-term, and we aim for a holistic view of the individual and good collaboration with municipalities and healthcare partners.
You will be responsible for your own patients, implementing, following up, and evaluating treatments. Here, you'll have the opportunity to meet patients one at a time, with all appointments scheduled. Work occurs in interprofessional teams and is followed up in treatment conferences and collaboration meetings. We actively use individual care plans to increase patient involvement and track treatment goals. Documentation is done in the Take Care journal system.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for a flexible and curious person who enjoys teamwork but is also comfortable working independently. It is important to us that our patients and their families receive good treatment. Therefore, it is crucial that you are positive and have a commitment to our target group. You enjoy your professional role and are eager for development. We believe you are solution-oriented and contribute to an open work environment.
We offer you a stimulating and varied job with personal responsibility where collegial cooperation is a central part of the work. We do not expect you to already know addiction treatment; the most important thing is a genuine interest. At Dependency Center, we actively work on skills development and training to give you opportunities to grow in your profession. It is also important to us that our employees have a workplace where they feel comfortable and well. We offer, among other things, one hour of wellness activity per week, 5000 SEK in wellness benefits per year, and free outpatient healthcare. For us, it is important to learn from each other and find good working methods to best help those who need our assistance. We appreciate that people are different and give you the opportunity to develop your own areas of interest within the framework of our operations.
