We are looking for a nurse who, together with us, wants to continue developing our operations in the neurology and stroke department.
Here, you will have the opportunity to work with patients who have had an acute stroke, undergo emergency treatments and rehabilitation, as well as with patients suffering from various neurological diseases. With us, you will help create healthcare together with the patients.
About our job opening
We have divided the department into three teams: the acute team, the stroke team, and the neurology team. You will be part of one of these teams and will be responsible, together with an experienced nursing assistant, for the team. We encounter patients of various age groups with neurological diseases such as MS, Parkinson's, ALS, brain tumors, and epilepsy, with capacity for direct admissions and investigations.
As part of the team, you will also work in the stroke process, where we have clear routines for patient care. We are part of the acute flow for stroke patients, which includes close collaboration with radiology and ambulance services. We perform thrombolysis treatment, manage patients with TIA, and prepare for thrombectomy procedures conducted at Sahlgrenska.
The position is a permanent employment that will include all hours of the day.
About us
We work person-centered in interdisciplinary teams and have recently implemented movement monitoring to prevent falls. We have a pharmacist as part of the team to support medication management. We have two senior nurses who are involved in the onboarding of new employees to ensure you have a secure start with us.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Swedish nursing license and four months of professional experience. Experience in neurology and stroke care, thrombolysis treatment, or rehabilitation is advantageous but not required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is passionate about care and teamwork, as you will closely collaborate with other professional categories. You also enjoy working independently and making your own decisions. Initiative and innovative thinking are welcomed. You are empathetic and have a good approach to patients, relatives, and colleagues.
