About this role

Make a difference. Every day. We at Medicine Department 4 welcome a new colleague who wants to work with us in bright and fresh facilities overlooking Pildammsparken in Malmö! Internal medicine inpatient care in Malmö is conducted within the area of acute care and internal medicine as a joint operation with Skåne University Hospital in Lund. Our patients primarily come from the emergency department and the medicine's acute care unit, but also directly from home for further investigation and treatment. Common diagnoses include heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), infections, and diabetes. The Medicine Department has collectively created an inclusive and welcoming work environment in a positive spirit. Here, you will find engaged colleagues who welcome questions and are eager to share both knowledge and experiences. Our team consists of nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors working together with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and pharmacists. The teamwork between nursing assistants and nurses in daily care is the foundation of our operations, but it is the close collaboration with all professional roles that is crucial for the patient. In the department, we have a specialist nurse who works with the team in complex care situations. There are also experienced nurses who act as team supervisors and experienced nursing assistants who provide competency support. These roles are available in daily, patient-centered work to support and develop staff in their professional roles. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nurse with us, you will often encounter complex and exciting care processes in a dynamic environment, where your expertise gives you a significant opportunity to make a difference for the patient. Care is tailored individually to the patient and characterized by continuity, participation, and professional interaction with both patients and their relatives. Our aim is to increase patient participation and enhance their knowledge about their illness and treatment. Our work climate is characterized by mutual support across the boundaries of care professions, and we place great emphasis on good planning and clear routines. We have strong teamwork with collective decision-making, where you will have the space to help build a culture around person-centered care. It is important to us that the values of Region Skåne permeate our care and work environment. We continuously work to enhance staff competencies so that you can grow and develop. For newly graduated nurses, we offer a clinical foundation year that includes lectures and clinical skills training. If you are interested in specialization, we provide, in addition to educational benefits in prioritized areas, several available training positions, where education is combined with clinical work over two years. We also have experience in student supervision, and opportunities for supervisor training are available. QUALIFICATIONS You who are applying should be a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare, whether newly graduated or an experienced nurse. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Supervisor training and/or previous experience in supervising students is an advantage. We value a humble approach towards both patients and colleagues. Furthermore, we see that you are engaged and want to contribute with a future-oriented work approach. For a fruitful collaboration, we also expect you to have a flexible mindset, good prioritization skills, and the ability to make independent decisions. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and a genuine interest in working within internal medicine. In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome you to submit your application today! ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Region Skåne is responsible for healthcare, public transport, and sustainable development throughout Skåne.
