Within the Medicine Department at Kristianstad Central Hospital, the pulmonary medicine area is located. Our operation consists of outpatient and inpatient care. At the Lung Outpatient Day Care, (highly specialized) lung cancer treatments, investigations, and various examinations are conducted. Patients with other lung diseases and conditions affecting breathing also come here. Many of our patients require breathing aids, such as oxygen and bilevel devices.
We are seeking two nurses, one for a temporary position of approximately one year and one for a permanent position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
With us, you'll have a varied workday with significant personal responsibility, working both in lung day care and the lung outpatient clinic. Your tasks include patient-centered work such as preparations for doctor's appointments, including spirometry and walking tests. You'll plan and implement both systematic and supportive biological/oncological treatments and participate in long-term patient planning. Job responsibilities also include telephone counseling with high accessibility and establishing contact with other healthcare providers when necessary. Some administrative work in various quality registers is involved.
As a nurse, you are a crucial part of our team consisting of doctors, nurses, medical secretaries, counselors, and physiotherapists. We also collaborate closely with the medical aid center. In our dynamic environment, you'll encounter complex and exciting care processes where you have significant opportunities to make a difference for patients. Our goal is always to focus on patient needs, with care and treatment designed individually and characterized by professional approach.
Training occurs over an extended period alongside experienced colleagues, with gradual assumption of daily work responsibilities. For those interested in research, opportunities to participate in various studies may be available in the future. Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome licensed nurses authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is required. Experience in pulmonary medicine is viewed positively. Specialized training in oncology and/or experience working with cancer patients is also advantageous.
