The position is located within the Health and Care Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical services, regulatory activities, ordering of services, and operates care and support in-house. Welcome to join us! Your Responsibilities As a nurse at Åleryd Short-Term Care, you will work independently with medical assessments, plan interventions, and monitor patients' health conditions. Short-term care is a service where needs can change rapidly, and you will use your medical expertise in many different situations. Your tasks include medication management, wound care, initiating feeding tubes, taking samples, and assessing vital functions. You will also be responsible for admissions and discharges and will maintain close contact with hospitals, care managers, and relatives. Part of your role is to supervise, delegate, and educate the nursing staff to ensure safe and secure care. You will continuously work with incident management and quality registers and actively contribute to the development work within the organization. Each week, you will participate in rounds with doctors from US, where you will lead the work based on your knowledge of patients' needs and care planning. Your Workplace Åleryd Care Home encompasses several services, with the short-term care departments consisting of four units with different focuses: two for dementia and two for somatic care. You will work in one of these departments and be part of a team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, specialist nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and the operations manager. Together, we create a work environment where collaboration, communication, and quality are prioritized. As part of the team, you will participate in the quality council and the local management group, where we collectively work on monitoring quality, developing routines, and planning training initiatives. Åleryd also offers a pleasant environment with an inviting courtyard and experience garden where both patients and staff can spend time. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:30. Who You Are We are looking for a licensed nurse in Sweden. It is advantageous if you have experience working or have completed practical training in elderly care. We also consider it a merit if you have previously worked as a nurse, especially within municipal healthcare, but this is not a requirement. Since the job involves documentation and contact with patients and relatives, it is essential that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. You should also have experience with some documentation and record-keeping system. A valid driver's license (category B) is required, as well as the ability to cycle. As a person, you work well with others, listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you have the ability to lead and coordinate work by creating engagement and participation. You also understand how individuals absorb knowledge and can therefore adapt how you convey information to achieve common goals. In your work, you can plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You make sound judgments and have the ability to weigh complex information and various considerations.
