About this role

Surgical Care Unit, Högland Hospital Eksjö Warmly welcome to become part of our fantastic clinic with a good work environment and high patient satisfaction. The Nursing Role As a nurse, you will lead, plan, and organize specialized patient care, including pre- and post-operative care. We work in teams where you will closely collaborate with nursing assistants and doctors. There are 4 teams during weekdays and three on weekends, ensuring you always have nursing colleagues to consult. Tasks include clinical assessments, ward rounds, medication management, sample collection, and social patient planning. We offer an opportunity to develop broad expertise across various surgical diagnoses. Your Future Workplace We primarily care for patients with surgical base diagnoses who need investigation, examination, or surgery. Palliative end-of-life patients are also cared for in close collaboration with SSIH. The unit has beds for urology and children over 4 years old. We accept both emergency and planned patients. The Surgical Clinic's inpatient care at Högland Hospital in Eksjö consists of four departments focusing on upper abdomen, lower abdomen/palliative patients, emergency/children, and urology. We have 30 care beds. The Surgical Care Unit in Eksjö is part of the Surgical Clinic in Region Jönköping County, a regional clinic operating in three locations: Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. All three locations have emergency departments with round-the-clock surgical care, including surgery and intensive care. Your Profile We are seeking a licensed nurse, welcoming both newly graduated and experienced professionals. We value professional experience, with acute care or surgical care experience being particularly meritorious. As a person, you are engaged, stable, maintain composure in acute situations, and have strong collaborative skills. You have a solution-focused approach, work proactively, adapt easily to new situations, communicate effectively, and can understand different perspectives.
