The Surgical Operations Area is a county-wide clinic with outpatient services and departments in Hudiksvall and Gävle. The clinic has specialists in urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, breast surgery, and endocrine surgery. Hudiksvall has 24 care beds with planned and emergency services in the areas of upper and lower gastrointestinal, vascular, urology, gynecology, and ear-nose-throat.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Being a nurse on Ward 1 is enjoyable, stimulating, and a constantly evolving job within an exciting field, with many different diagnoses.
As a nurse with us, you will work with:
• Medication administration
• Management of medical technology, such as infusion pumps, nutrition pumps, central lines, probes, catheters, and drains
• Acting as a team leader and responsible for nursing care for a care team of 6-8 patients
• Coordinating patient care and medical treatment as part of a team consisting of nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists
• Teaching patients, relatives, students, and colleagues
• Participating in the unit's development work and our shared workplace environment.
We operate around the clock, which means that as a nurse with us, you will work days, evenings, and nights. However, there will be no night shifts during the first year. We apply a night agreement.

We are looking for you who are a nurse with an interest in surgical care and a genuine interest and commitment to the well-being of patients. To thrive with us, you need to handle the varied daily life in a surgical emergency department. You are skilled at prioritizing and re-prioritizing, can switch between different tasks, and manage a sometimes high pace without compromising patient safety and quality. You are responsible and work goal-oriented and systematically. You have a pleasant demeanor and see respectful, attentive, and empathetic communication as an important tool in your interactions with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other internal and external stakeholders. You have a good ability to both lead and collaborate. You also share our values, where respect, openness, and humility are important concepts.
We are looking for candidates with previous experience as a nurse or newly graduated nurses. Regardless, you will bring new knowledge, ideas, and perspectives that are valuable to our operations.
As a nurse with us, you must:
• Be a licensed nurse.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a care department or with surgical care.
