About this role
In Region Kronoberg, we are 6,500 individuals working for the best interests of the people of Kronoberg – every day! We are responsible for healthcare, public transport, regional development, and culture in the county. Our goal is for our employees to thrive, grow in their professional roles, and have the ability to influence their workday.
The Infectious Diseases Clinic is a small clinic with short decision-making paths and significant opportunities for development in your professional role. We have a county-wide operation within infectious disease care. The clinic includes a care ward and an outpatient department, which offers services such as needle exchange and extensive consulting operations in Växjö and Ljungby. Approximately 50 employees work at the clinic.
As a nurse with us in the infectious ward, you will have a varied job and become an important part of the team surrounding the patient. The team consists of experienced colleagues, and our various professional categories work closely together, creating security, strong support, and a wonderful work environment.
In the ward, we have about 30 employees, and we maintain close collaboration with the outpatient department. We manage a broad patient group with high patient turnover, which means a significant patient flow. The pace can vary, but we often work at a high tempo as we care for acutely ill patients. Competence development is important to us, and through regular internal training conducted by our doctors, you will continuously develop and learn new things.
We have two managers working in a shared leadership model, which means we are always available for our employees. By sharing responsibility, we ensure that at least one of us is always present to provide quick support and guidance. Our office is located close to the ward, allowing for a natural presence and proximity to daily operations. This enables us to be involved in the activities and make quick decisions when necessary.
