Do you want to help make a difference for our patients in women's healthcare? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
With us, you will be part of an exciting and developing project! We offer you the opportunity to grow in your professional role and are committed to fostering a healthy workplace. In spring 2024, we launched the Healthy Workplace 90:10 project, which will run for two years. This project entails working 90 percent of your time clinically, while the remaining 10 percent is dedicated to personal development and unit development. Continuous evaluation will take place during the project to ensure the desired impact.
The Gynecology and Breast Unit at Helsingborg Hospital is a closely-knit team that conducts both gynecological and obstetric activities. We care for women of all ages and focus on acute gynecological conditions, both urgent and planned gynecological surgeries, as well as gynecological cancer. We have our own intake through our gynecological emergency department. In our unit, we also care for breast patients following planned surgeries as part of cancer treatment, as well as for postoperative complications.
We have twelve care beds divided into two teams. You will work alongside other nurses, midwives, nursing assistants, and doctors to provide the best possible care for our patients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse or midwife with us, you will work in a department primarily serving female patients. You will perform the usual tasks of a nurse or midwife on a care unit. We place great emphasis on putting patients first and providing the care that each unique patient needs. We have a nursing assistant who manages 'My Plans' on weekdays, a coordinator who oversees the flow in the department, and a pharmacist associated with the unit.
During the night, our emergency department is connected to the gynecological care unit from which the work is based. One nurse or midwife has primary responsibility for the care unit and another for the gynecological emergency department, collaborating based on current workload.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or midwife with the qualifications to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s language scale is a requirement. Previous experience in the fields of gynecology, breast care, and/or emergency care is an advantage.
You are a calm and secure person with a genuine interest and commitment to providing high-quality care to all patients. With us, you will meet patients at various stages of life, which requires the ability to empathize, provide good service, and deliver excellent care. We see that you enjoy working in a team and have strong collaborative skills. Personal suitability is highly valued.
This recruitment will be conducted on an ongoing basis. We warmly welcome your application today; we look forward to getting to know you!
