We offer a health-promoting workplace, where we have an open atmosphere and support each other. Community, laughter, and commitment are an integral part of our daily life. We warmly welcome your application – we look forward to hearing from you! **Job Responsibilities** We are looking for you, our new nursing colleague who wants to work in acute care and care for geriatric patients! Working with this patient group allows you, as a nurse, to develop since the patients' medical conditions are often complex and need to be addressed alongside their life stories. You will become part of an interdisciplinary team that works together to provide our patients with the best possible care and quality of life. Our patients primarily come to us via the emergency department or are transferred from the hospital's medical acute care unit. As a nurse with us, you will be responsible for and lead the nursing work, which often consists of specific nursing interventions. These interventions can be either curative or palliative. The medical aspect is also a significant part of the job, which includes medication administration and various medical technical procedures, as well as the ability to interpret the patients' different symptoms and parameters. We who work here are motivated by the opportunity to work independently, but we also appreciate having competent and engaged colleagues for support within the team. **What Our Employees Appreciate Most** Many of our staff highlight the team spirit, collaboration, and support as the best aspects of the job. There is care, commitment, and knowledge here, and newcomers feel welcome. We enjoy working together – with laughter, community, and joy as a natural part of our daily lives. **About the Workplace** The department consists of 24 care places: 16 acute care places and 8 rehabilitation places, where we work in three teams. Our acute care places have an intake of four orthopedic patients who are transferred to Geriatrics for recovery/rehabilitation after hip surgery. Our nurses work in teams consisting of one nurse and three nursing assistants. The interdisciplinary team includes a nurse, doctor, nursing assistant, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, and social worker. Our workplace is characterized by our commitment to the elderly patient and patient safety. We have a good working environment where we help and support each other. At the end of each shift, we evaluate both patient safety and the working environment. These evaluations form the basis for us to continue maintaining and developing both patient safety and our working environment. For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your job; therefore, we offer you: - A tailored introduction program to help you feel secure and confident in your professional role - Opportunities for professional development through, for example, internal training - A workplace for all stages of life, with the possibility of flexible working hours within certain frameworks - Free access to our fully equipped gym - Wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year You can find more about your benefits here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ **Curious?** Please contact us if you would like to schedule an informal conversation, and we will tell you more.
