Skövde Garrison and the Garrison Unit Skövde Garrison is one of Sweden's largest military garrisons with over 2,000 employees. The garrison consists of several units from the Armed Forces, all with the primary mission of training and developing combat units. The breadth of the training activities includes assault units with tanks and armored vehicles, as well as supporting units such as artillery, command, medical, and other logistics units, to military schools offering professional officer training at various levels, and staff for several command levels, primarily within the army. Within Skövde Garrison operates the Garrison Unit. The unit is responsible for providing support with competencies and services across several operational areas.
