About the position Here in the esophagus-stomach department, we provide highly specialized care with the patient at the center. We receive 12 patients from across the country with malignant or benign diseases of the esophagus or stomach. Common procedures include gastric resection, esophagectomy, and ESD. We work evidence-based with enhanced recovery programs to help patients return to their functional level after life-altering surgery. We also care for patients with advanced cancer who need symptom relief or diagnostic examinations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about surgical care and preferably holds a specialist nursing degree in surgery or oncology. Here, patient-centered care is our focus, and we operate based on the framework of Fundamentals of Care. Our operations are built on teamwork, where nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, paramedics, pharmacists, and our clinical nursing leaders collaborate closely for the best possible care. We offer continuous professional development with weekly lectures, opportunities for development projects, and relevant training. We work in newly built, modern facilities and have a close collaboration with the surgical intermediate care unit, with opportunities for rotation or further development there. Qualifications Requirements: - Licensed nurse Meritorious: - Experience in surgical or oncological care - Specialist nursing degree in surgical or oncological care.
