The Nephrology Unit is part of the Medicine Clinic, which has a broad internal medicine operation, including a dialysis unit, two inpatient wards, and outpatient services across various subspecialties. The Nephrology Unit in Norrköping is an outpatient service primarily focused on diagnosing and treating patients with kidney diseases and managing patients with chronic kidney failure. The unit comprises a hemodialysis clinic, a coordinator clinic, a nephrology outpatient clinic, a peritoneal dialysis (PD) clinic, and a transplantation clinic. You will receive a 10-week introduction and professional development through both external and internal training in nephrology. After a successful introduction and completing 500 dialysis sessions, which corresponds to approximately one year, your employment will be converted from a registered nurse to a nurse with a specialized function in dialysis, which also includes a salary increase of 2,000 SEK/month. We actively work to improve the care we provide to our patients. An important part of the job is to involve our patients in their care and treatment. Our patients come from the eastern part of the county and travel to the hospital for treatment 3-4 times a week. During a work shift, there are 4-6 nurses and 1-2 nursing assistants who share patient responsibilities. Work Group We are a group of happy and positive colleagues consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, and medical technicians. Collaboration and job satisfaction are a given. The operation is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and Sunday from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM. About You We are looking for a licensed nurse, with or without experience. As you will be in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is essential that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
