The Dependency Center is part of university healthcare and actively engages in research and development. We focus on continuous quality assurance and have a stable staff pool with extensive experience in both psychiatry and dependency syndromes. Our team consists of senior physicians, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, nursing assistants, and social workers working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for patients. We highly value teamwork.
We are actively working to develop and improve our operations. Current focus areas include:
• Teamwork and collaboration between professional groups and within the same profession.
• Work on medically safe care processes/routines.
• Development of profession-specific areas of responsibility.
• Development of psychiatric nursing practices.
We take pride in our efforts in these areas and, of course, we hope you want to contribute to our ongoing development!
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now welcoming a new nurse to our team!
We receive individuals who often find themselves in very vulnerable situations, and as a nurse, your caregiving work is central to the care process. This role is unique as you will work in emergency intake, acute care, and outpatient settings. This means that the work is highly varied and developmental. You will be involved in medication management, medication follow-up, sample collection, health conversations, and the establishment of individual care plans. You will also conduct motivational and supportive conversations with patients. Here, the patient is at the center, and great emphasis is placed on involving them in their care process. We hold patient forums every week where patients can discuss their experiences of the care they receive.
As a new employee, you will be offered a tailored introduction program based on your experience, including the opportunity to shadow a more experienced colleague. This includes a thorough review of job responsibilities. Together, we will ensure that you acquire the knowledge you need to succeed in your role.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is required. We prefer candidates with experience in psychiatry, emergency care, or addiction treatment. Additionally, a specialist qualification in psychiatry is advantageous. We work with Melior, Våps, and Pasis, so experience with these systems is desirable.
As a person, you possess good collaboration skills and an eye for structure and effective prioritization in your work. We expect you to be a responsible and mature individual with strong communication skills, capable of functioning well both independently and in a team. Furthermore, you have the ability to act professionally and remain confident in your role even in stressful situations. We consider it essential that you have a good approach towards both patients and colleagues. Personal suitability is highly valued.
A background check will be conducted prior to any potential employment.
In this recruitment process, we apply ongoing selection. We welcome your application today, and we look forward to meeting you!
