About this role
Clinical Training Center (KTC) is part of the shared resources of healthcare services. Our mission is to support healthcare operations in achieving their goals by offering professional development and creating safe and secure employees through clinical training and simulation.
We conduct parts of our operations on-site at healthcare units throughout the region as well as in our own facilities in Gävle and Hudiksvall. Through experienced staff, a wide range of equipment and materials, and secure learning environments, we enable the development and deepening of knowledge for both individual employees and teams within healthcare operations.
We are now seeking two training leaders with a nursing background to join our team. Come and make a difference with us!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a training leader, you will organize, implement, and follow up on training initiatives. In line with the overarching goals of healthcare, you will provide continued education for healthcare personnel according to the national guidelines of the Care Handbook and local routines, in collaboration with colleagues. Our aim is to strengthen the competence and safety of healthcare staff through knowledge and educational support, contributing to increased patient safety. We work with all healthcare operations in the Gävleborg region as our clients and field of work, which means that travel within the county is required. The position includes clinical work with a minimum of four weeks per year.
Main Responsibilities
• Introductory training for nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors
• Method exercises and skills training in nursing, such as catheterization, peripheral venous catheter insertion, management of intrathecal catheters, and tracheostomy care
• Working with various pedagogical methods such as simulation and practical training
• Planning and developing assignment descriptions for training initiatives in dialogue with colleagues and clients
• Developing, coordinating, and planning course structures within the subject areas for which you are responsible.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is interested in learning and development and enjoys giving presentations and leading groups. You have a natural ability to create engagement and build trust. You collaborate well with others, are communicative, and can adapt learning based on the needs and conditions of the audience. Your humility and attentiveness allow you to focus on others' competence and development, creating safe, inclusive learning environments. Furthermore, we see that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing situations. Your curiosity and positive attitude towards development make you eager to contribute new ideas and perspectives on work-related matters.
For this role, you should have:
• A nursing license
• Broad experience in clinical work as a nurse
• Experience in teaching and/or mentoring
• A valid driver's license (B category).
It is advantageous if you have experience working with tracheostomy patients and/or patients receiving intrathecal pain management. It is also beneficial if you have instructor qualifications in medical simulation and/or experience facilitating clinical training and simulation.
