About the Department
The Neuropsychiatry Department is one of five adult psychiatric departments responsible for patients with neuropsychiatric disabilities, eating disorders, deaf psychiatry, memory disorders, Huntington's disease, geriatric inpatient care, and geriatric mobile teams.
The department is research-intensive and actively participates in several healthcare training programs. We collaborate closely with other actors involved in patient care and support. In other words, it is a knowledge-intensive organization where we perform varied and important work with excellent opportunities for personal development.
Ward 81/82 is a geriatric psychiatric inpatient ward with 16 beds. We care for individuals over 70 years old with psychiatric conditions such as depression, bipolar disorders, psychoses, severe anxiety disorders, and memory-related diseases with or without BPSD symptoms.
About the Position
We are seeking a nurse interested in working in psychiatric emergency healthcare. Work hours include day and evening shifts. Multiple nurses work on the ward, collaboratively developing patient-centered care. You will be part of a team where care is planned together with the patient based on individual needs, alongside other team members including doctors, nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, and psychologists.
Ward 81/82 is an acute care ward responsible for patient admissions and discharges 24/7. You will work as a patient-responsible nurse, ultimately responsible for patient care. The nursing work is based on a person-centered approach.

About You
We are seeking a registered nurse, preferably with a specialist degree in psychiatry, dementia, or geriatrics, or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. A few years of experience is preferred.
You have the knowledge, competence, experience, and interest in working with our target group. You demonstrate good interpersonal skills, understanding, and interest in people. We seek someone who can easily establish secure professional relationships with patients and relatives. You should be confident, stable, able to adapt to new situations, and prioritize effectively. Additionally, you should enjoy and be capable of collaborating with the entire team, interested in developing and improving nursing care. You must be able to work independently and interact with interdisciplinary teams, have good interpersonal skills, and possess strong collaborative, initiative, and organizational abilities. Personal suitability will be considered during the selection process.

For potential recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign certifications/specialist credentials, the position will be preceded by a process to meet requirements for Swedish certification/specialist credentials.
New graduate nurses will be part of the Clinical Base Year, our introduction program. The Clinical Base Year is mandatory and lasts throughout your first year of employment. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training at the Simulation Center. Additionally, you will work in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.
