About this role
Make a difference. Every day.
We are currently seeking a nurse for a base position in the Pre- and Postoperative Department of Reconstructive Surgery at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö. With us, you will primarily work daytime, Monday to Friday, in an environment where team spirit, learning, and quality permeate everything we do. This is a role that offers both variety and development, allowing you to follow the patient through the entire care chain, before and after surgery.
We want you to thrive and grow with us. Therefore, we operate according to the Magnet Model, which is based on engagement, participation, and continuous development.
Our pre- and postoperative unit is part of the Intensive and Perioperative Care area (VO IPV). Currently, we are open on weekdays, but we are undergoing a merger that will eventually allow you to rotate between several pre- and postoperative units within surgery, orthopedics, and gynecological surgery, perfect for those who wish to broaden their skills and try new things without changing workplaces.
We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and wants to contribute to safe and person-centered care. You enjoy variety, collaboration, and see development as a natural part of your professional life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In our unit, we work to provide patients with the best possible care before and after surgery. As a nurse in the pre- and postoperative unit, you will interact with patients (both adults and children) across many different specialties. Our team values collaboration, respect, and empathy in all interactions, both with patients and their relatives, as well as with colleagues.
With us, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work in a competent team with close collaboration among different professions.
- Contribute to ensuring high-quality care before and after surgery.
- Continue to develop in your professional role through continuous learning and skill development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you should have language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Experience or specialist training in emergency care, surgical/urological care, pre- and postoperative care, or intensive care is considered an advantage.
You are engaged, confident in your professional role, and want to work in a dynamic environment. You find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to prioritize in acute situations. We expect that, like us, you are driven by the desire and interest to develop postoperative care. Additionally, you are motivated to actively participate in the continuous improvement process we are engaged in. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today!
A background check will be conducted before any potential employment.
