You are stable and can maintain calm in stressful situations while keeping the patient at the center of your focus. Experience in surgical nursing, acute care, and/or postoperative care is advantageous, but we also encourage those who have worked as nurses for at least a year to apply. What you will be working on This position is a rotation role, meaning you will work 5 weeks in department 53 - acute surgery and 5 weeks in postoperative care. You will thus become a vital link between the two areas, contributing to strong collaboration. Both workplaces have excellent teams that are engaged and competent, and you will work alongside various professional groups as well as doctors in the acute team and anesthesia. You will be responsible for the nursing care of both newly operated and acutely ill patients. You will work with both advanced medical equipment and complex medical care. You will encounter patients of different ages and with a wide variety of surgical procedures and medical conditions. It is a varied and educational job with a sometimes fast pace, and the acute patients ensure that no day is like the other. We practice person-centered care based on evidence-based knowledge, and we have specialist nurses available for support.
