About this role
Are you interested in a nursing position in geriatrics that includes research as part of the role? Then you will find our nursing position with combined research to be a great fit for you!
As a nurse at the Geriatric Clinic, this role offers you the opportunity to drive your own development in the direction that interests you within the field of geriatrics.
The position includes 20% research, where you, as a research nurse, will be responsible for maintaining ongoing contact with study participants, study staff, researchers, and monitors/sponsors. Another aspect of the job is to meticulously manage documentation in clinical studies. Clinical studies at the Geriatric Clinic may involve treatment studies, drug studies, or data collection. You will carry out tasks both independently and as part of a research team. We have an established network for research nurses in the Kalmar County region and the Southeast healthcare region, where training is offered and opportunities to network for inspiration are provided. For more information about the research component of the position, please contact Kristofer Årestedt at +46 (0)70 3426325.
In addition to the research component, you will work as a nurse on the Geriatric Clinic, ward 32. Here, you will provide acute care and nursing for the most fragile elderly patients. We strive to recognize and develop the strengths of our patients. On the ward, you will be responsible for executing and following up on medical orders, as well as leading a team to ensure the care of our patients. We operate based on person-centered care, which is an ethical approach that involves seeing the individual and tailoring care according to their needs, resources, and circumstances.
Working hours are scheduled for days/evenings/nights.
