NU Healthcare is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Northern Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide high-quality and safe specialized healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forest, and lakes.
Ambulance Services
The ambulance services under NU Healthcare span the entire NU Healthcare catchment area, from the west coast and Bohuslän to the beautiful Dalsland landscape with its beautiful nature of forests, mountains, and lakes.
We are organized into six sub-areas: Bohus North (Tanum, Strömstad, and Kungshamn), Bohus West (Munkedal, Hallinden, and Lysekil), Northern Dalsland (Åmål, Bengtsfors), Southern Dalsland (Dals Ed, Mellerud, and Färgelanda), Trestad West (Uddevalla and Henån), and Trestad East (Trollhättan and Lilla Edet).
Ambulance services staff emergency ambulances, assessment vehicles, ICU ambulances, ambulance buses, and medical transports. Ambulance crews always consist of at least one nurse.
As a nurse in ambulance services, you are offered a free and varied work environment. You will work in a staff group with excellent cohesion and a good work climate. Ambulance services focus on continuous improvements, with systems and routines for patient follow-up, recurring internal training and exercises, collaborative assignments with other healthcare providers, and good opportunities for further education with financial support.
Summer internships are offered with placement in one of our ambulance areas.
Qualifications
Registered nurse. To serve as an ambulance nurse, it is desirable to have experience from an emergency medical unit and/or ambulance healthcare for at least one year. Further education in ambulance healthcare, anesthesia, intensive care, or district nursing is meritorious. We place great importance on personal suitability, flexibility, ability to work independently, and social competence.
You should have good physical capacity; tests are included in the recruitment process. Driving license Class B is a requirement, Class C or C1 is desirable.
Test dates are planned for the following dates: 14/1, 21/1, 4/2, 11/2.
Working Hours
Working hours are scheduled with service during day, night, and weekend shifts.
