About this role

Närhälsan offers high-quality primary care close to home. With hundreds of clinics in Västra Götaland, we are present throughout the lives of our residents, making a difference for their health. We value you and provide opportunities for development throughout your professional career. About us Welcome to Närhälsan Landvetter Health Center! We are a well-functioning health center with just over 9,000 registered patients. We have approximately 35 employees from various professions who work together for the health of our residents. We are approved as a training health center and regularly host students at different levels within the healthcare professions. The health center is centrally located in Landvetter, a rapidly growing area. Our catchment area includes both rural and expanding urban settings. Our patients come from all age groups, and there is a significant influx of families with children to Landvetter. Commuting options to Gothenburg and Borås are very good. The health center is adjacent to the transport center, and free commuter parking is available nearby. The unit has a low staff turnover, and many of us have worked here for a long time. As an employee of Närhälsan, you will have various development opportunities, such as internal training and mentorship programs. We actively work on development initiatives to continuously improve our methods and best meet our patients' needs. Please read more about the benefits and advantages we offer at Närhälsan: Link to our website. About the job Your responsibilities at the health center will span a wide range of tasks within the field of general medicine, where you will meet patients of all ages and situations. You will work on health promotion, provide advice, and offer treatment in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital healthcare meetings, and in the clinic. The work includes both acute and planned activities. You will largely work independently with your own clinic for diabetes patients, where you will triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration will occur with your colleagues at the unit and across professions in the team, as well as with other actors such as home healthcare and other specialist care. Together with the health center management, you will be responsible for developing and advancing the operations. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students will also be part of your role at the health center. About you You are a licensed nurse with advanced training in diabetes of at least 15 higher education credits. Previous experience as a diabetes nurse and/or in primary care is advantageous, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates. We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making independent decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks. In your work, you will meet many patients, so it is important that you are approachable, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe you thrive in teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing and are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and in-person visits at the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitalization and operational development. A professional approach and a positive attitude towards customers, patients, and colleagues are essential for you. We also expect you to embody Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative. Other information Travel for work may occur; a valid driver's license (category B) is required. Interviews at the health center will be conducted continuously during the application period. We welcome your application! About the recruitment process Selection will occur in two stages. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department, who will invite candidates for a phone interview. Subsequently, the hiring manager will make a second selection from the applicants and invite them for an interview at the health center. We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers—this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
