About this role
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all stages of life. We make each other better.
Emergency Department
Do you have a burning interest in emergency care? We offer a fun and stimulating job at Gotland's only emergency department!
Visby Hospital is Sweden's smallest emergency hospital and the only one on Gotland.
This means we receive all types of patients of various ages across all medical and surgical specialties. If you want to learn a lot and develop within your profession, apply for a job with us!
The emergency department consists of a team of 45 nurses and nursing assistants. Teamwork is the key word. We invest heavily in skills development and offer both internal and external training, such as TNCC, AMLS, and ENPC. In addition to training, we think long-term and sustainably, which is why you will receive a comprehensive introduction and a mentor during your first period in the emergency department. Confident and trained staff create the conditions for optimizing care.
The emergency department receives approximately 26,000 visits annually, with a clear peak season during the summer months and a somewhat calmer period for the rest of the year.
We value our employees. As an employee in the emergency department, benefits include wellness allowance, staff gym, parental leave supplement, and more.
We hope and wish that you will become part of our team! If you're curious about the operation, please contact us for a visit.
We are seeking a nurse for day/evening shifts.
Job Responsibilities
Working as a nurse at Visby's emergency department is both fun and stimulating. You will take your own initiatives in consultation with the charge nurse and doctors. You are responsible for patient care and triage according to RETTS. This means taking responsibility for the whole picture and collaborating with internal and external partners. Focusing on the patient's needs is a matter of course.
In the future, there is an opportunity to become a charge nurse if you are interested in work leadership and feel confident in your role as a nurse in the emergency department.
Who Are You?
You are a licensed nurse with at least one year of professional experience. Experience working in an emergency department is meritorious. We prefer a specialist qualification in emergency care, pediatrics, or pre-hospital care, but your interest in emergency care is most important. You are a team player and skilled at communication.
As a person, you are confident in your professional role and adaptable to the changing circumstances of emergency department work. You are comfortable with your priorities and always keep the patient in focus, even when the pace is high. Since we work closely together, good collaboration skills, high service orientation, and genuine interest in emergency care are important.
We are keen to find the right person for our work group and place great emphasis on personal suitability. Warmly welcome to us. We look forward to your application!
A background check through criminal record extract will be conducted before employment decision.
