About the position
As an advisor, you will play a central role in supporting, representing, and coordinating issues within the department for indirect fire and air defense. At the same time, you will contribute to strengthening our capability in strategic decision support and operational development.
In this role, you will work in an advisory and investigative capacity within the management group's area of responsibility and represent the department in selected assignments. Your work will vary over time and encompass both strategic and operational tasks, such as:
• Independently driving issues related to the department's mission
• Acting as a point of contact with other authorities
• Conducting analyses and investigations that serve as a basis for management decisions
• Contributing to considerations regarding the distribution of responsibilities among different organizational units.
You will also be responsible for managing questions of varying nature, from everyday matters to more complex strategic assignments that arise within the department's and unit's ongoing work. Through your work, you will be an important part of ensuring that the department delivers high-quality support to management and contributes to the organization's continued development.
The position is based in Stockholm. Travel may occur, both domestically and internationally.
About you
We are looking for someone who has a relevant degree for the position or has acquired equivalent competence in another way that we consider comparable. You have relevant and current experience in conducting, presenting, and preparing qualified analyses and decision support materials. This includes experience working with instructions and policies or similar within an authority. To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have knowledge of both the conditions for governance and coordination of authorities at a strategic level, as well as the distribution of responsibilities and missions within the defense sector. The position requires a valid driver's license (B) and good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms.
It is advantageous if you have current and relevant experience in providing support to management with materials for decisions, implementation of government directives within an authority, or inter-agency collaboration. Desirable but not required is experience working within the Government Offices or a defense authority.

Within this area, there is the department for indirect fire and air defense, which you will be a part of. Indirect fire includes artillery, mortar, fire control, and sensor systems, while air defense systems consist of fire units, sensors, simulators, and maintenance equipment.
