The Coast Guard is seeking a Signals Protection Chief for the Security Unit.
The primary location for this position is in Karlskrona.
The Department for Strategic Direction and Management Support, where the unit belongs, is responsible for overall governance and regulation at the agency level within the Coast Guard. The mission also includes coordinating decision-making materials for the Director General and Deputy Director General.
The task of the Security Unit is to develop, lead, and coordinate the agency's internal protection and security work in the areas of information security, personnel security, physical security, security protection, and signals protection. Work in all areas of the unit is conducted through analysis, development, management, and oversight as well as placing significant emphasis on support for the entire agency.
As the Signals Protection Chief, your work will primarily involve leading, maintaining, and coordinating the agency’s signals protection service in accordance with the Armed Forces' regulations. You will also have overall responsibility for the strategic development of the agency’s signals protection service, without personnel or budget authority.
Responsibilities may include:
Relevant education from a university/college or vocational training program or equivalent work experience deemed comparable by the employer. You should also have an approved signals protection chief training from TSS and several years of experience working with security issues, both strategically and operationally.
You possess excellent knowledge of and experience in applying regulations within the security area, such as the Security Protection Act and associated regulations, as well as knowledge and ability in how to effectively protect valuable assets.

Permanent employment with a 6-month initial probation period. Start date will be according to agreement.
Business travel is included in the employment, both domestically and internationally.
Employment requires Swedish citizenship, a driving license for personal vehicles, a drug test, and a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act.
The Coast Guard participates in overseas missions and international efforts. Therefore, the position entails a commitment to serve abroad when required for the operation.
