Since July 2025, Tillväxtverket has been the sector-responsible preparedness authority within the industry, construction, and trade sector. **About the Position**
In the role of Signals Protection Manager, you will establish the signals protection operation from scratch and also contribute to security protection efforts within the framework of information security.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Building and being responsible for the signals protection operation, including planning, implementation, and follow-up.
- Ensuring that signals protection meets the requirements according to the Armed Forces' regulations (FFS) and other relevant regulations.
- Conducting risk analyses to manage vulnerabilities within communication systems.
- Educating and informing internally about signals protection, cryptosystems, and secure communication.
- Collaborating with relevant authorities on signals protection issues.
- Managing and controlling cryptographic keys, cryptosystems, and signals protection materials.
- Conducting checks on the signals protection work.
- Reporting incidents and deviations according to applicable procedures.
You will also work with:
- Information security within the framework of security protection
- Initiatives for a strong security culture
Depending on your background, training will be offered to help you transition into the role in the best possible way. Personnel and budget responsibilities are not included in this position.
The position is located within the Internal Control Unit of the Legal and Control Department. Currently, there are 7 individuals in the unit working with information security, data protection, security protection, and internal control.
Your workplace will be in Stockholm or Östersund. Travel to other offices may occur.
**We are looking for someone who has:**
- At least a high school education
- A minimum of two years of experience working in the public sector
- Experience in signals protection, security protection, information security, or IT security
The following are advantageous:
- Experience working in a government agency
- Experience with preparedness issues
- Knowledge of the Swedish preparedness system and total defense
- Training at the Total Defense Signals Protection School
- Training or experience in RÖS/TEMPEST
- Education in information security

**Employment Type and Application Deadline**
The position is a permanent employment. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
The position is classified in a security class and requires Swedish citizenship. A security screening with a background check will be conducted prior to employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
