The Assignment
We are seeking an evening teacher for Sundbyberg Folk High School, located in Folkuniversitetet's premises at Järntorget. The work involves evening instruction for SFI students in track 3.
Your Competence and Background
We are looking for someone with a teaching certification and qualification in SFI/Swedish as a Second Language, which is a requirement (minimum 30 higher education credits). You have a genuine interest in language development in theory and practice and in information and communication technology (ICT) as a pedagogical tool. You are also adept at building relationships and have experience in adult education.
As a pedagogue at Sundbyberg Folk High School, you are expected to have the ability to personalize instruction, see each student, and draw out each individual's potential. It is important that you are accustomed to working independently and solution-oriented.
You should be flexible, responsive, and structured. We also value someone who appreciates real-world connections and contacts with surrounding social and professional life in language education. You create good relationships with students that motivate them to develop. We also presuppose that you share our view of human equality and right to knowledge.
Employment Type
Fixed-term employment for 6 months with potential extension.
